This year, Rajasthan Royals (RR) have to decide who will be their captain for this IPL season. According to news reports, Sanju Samson wanted to leave RR. That is why they traded Sanju to CSK. In that trade, they included Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran in their squad. There are also rumors that Jadeja is asking for the captaincy.
Last year, Sanju Samson could not play a few matches. That is why Riyan Parag led the team last year. Even though the RR core team was very strong, they could not perform well. They ended the last IPL season in the second-to-last position. On the other hand, they performed very well in 2024 when Sanju led the team.

Because of his loyalty and skills, he led RR last year, but the team did not perform very well. Now it will be interesting to see if the management will go with Riyan Parag or choose someone else.
Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi Jaiswal is an aggressive opening batter who plays with a very good strike rate. He is also part of the Indian international team. He is one of the best contenders for captain because he has potential to lead the team. Also, as seen with Shubman Gill, his game might improve after becoming captain, just like Gill did with GT.

Ravindra Jadeja
This year Ravindra Jadeja is with RR. He is a great all-rounder and everyone knows his name. He brings a lot of experience and has experience leading a team as well. He led CSK for a couple of matches in past years. If RR management wants to go with an experienced player, then Jadeja is a great option.
