Rohit Sharma is likely to play in the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. It is a very happy moment for the fans to see their Hitman again in domestic tournaments, but many people will be shocked after knowing the reason behind this because most of Rohit Sharma’s fans were already very disappointed by the BCCI’s decision to remove Rohit Sharma from the ODI captaincy. After this decision, many started doubting whether their superhero Rohit Sharma and Kohli will play in the upcoming ODI World Cup.

As per multiple reports, BCCI has asked Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to play domestic tournaments to stay in good form and stay fit for the upcoming ODI tournaments. As we all know, both players were spotted in the last ODI series against Australia. Both the star players were not in too good form in the first few matches. And both players have already taken retirement from T20 and Test cricket. They are playing only the ODI format for the Indian team, which is why BCCI wants both players to play in domestic Indian tournaments.

Rohit Sharma last played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2011. As of now, there is no response from Virat Kohli regarding this request from BCCI. Virat Kohli last played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2019-20. After that, he has only played in international matches or IPL.
