Last year’s IPL season was not good for CSK. Chennai Super Kings finished at the bottom of the table, and their performance throughout the season was quite poor. Captaincy changes were also seen last year due to injuries. This year, CSK has taken several bold steps to improve the team. They traded Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran for Sanju Samson. They see Sanju as a potential new wicket-keeper-batsman and captain. Additionally, they have included some Under-19 youngsters in the IPL mini-auction by paying huge amounts. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the upcoming season.
